Yo La Tengo: 5 summer dates

Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 04 30th, 2007 | View Comments

Yo La TengoYo La Tengo is rolling out a few summer dates, making a few appearances at music festivals thus far, scattered around the world. Yo La Tengo has already played over thirty shows in 2007, having just finished a US tour in the month of April. The band isn't waiting long to kick some ass, and it shouldn't come as a surprise if they announce a tour in the month of June.

First stop for Yo La Tengo will be at All Tomorrow's Parties in Somerset, UK on May 15, where fans voted for the festival lineup. Two months later, July 7, they'll grace the Comerica City Fest in Detroit, at the Motor City Casino Main Stage in the Fisher Building parking lot. Twenty days later Yo La Tengo will be at the Fujirock Festival in Naeba, Japan. Formoz Festival will bring them to Taiwan on July 29. The last Yo La Tengo date announced is Lollapalooza on August 5 in Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois.

Yo La TengoThe last album released by Yo La Tengo was the Yo La Tengo Live Session EP, with live recordings of El Es Gay, Pass the Hatchet, I Think I'm Goodkind, The Weakest Part, and Luci Baines. This was a quick punch in from their September release of I'm Not Afraid Of You And I Will Kick Your Ass through Matador, their 16th full-length since their debut in 1986. Add in 20 singles/EPs and you'll be hard-pressed to find a band with such proficient longevity.

    about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
