Wild Sweet Orange is releasing their debut full-length in the spring on 2008 via Canvasback Music (Annuals, Absentstar, Manchester Orchestra, Once Soundtrack). The band self-released a six track EP called The Whale EP on their own label, Nervous Blood, on November 6, and toured with The Whigs for three weeks during the month of November.
Wild Sweet Orange was featured on Grey’s Anatomy in March, where Land of No Return was the backdrop to a “dramatic arguement.” The band signed to Canvasback Music, and Sneak Attack Media was brought on to direct their online marketing.
Wild Sweet Orange writes soft indie rock that doesn’t hesitate to touch on serious topics. They build on clean guitar melodies, an organ filling the canvas, an acoustic added for texture, drums that drive the songs.
“It’s been a long time for you darling, running from my house in the hills. Where your parents still lay obsessing over the dust on the ceiling fan. And did they do the same to you child, did they lock you behind your door? When they whispered their darkest secrets, and ‘I don’t love you anymore?’ So when you go, tell me where are you going. Cause there’s no place you can run to. Forget all you’re longing. So forget where you’re going.” (Land of No Return)

This band is the REAL DEAL! Expect great things from them in the future! I disagree with the statement that the band writes “soft indie rock”. While they have a few softer songs, most are mid tempo to rocking.
