Unwed Sailor has canceled their fall dates "due to personal circumstances beyond anyone's control." The band posted a statement by their booking agent on their website. The reason for the cancellation isn't explained (saying that the situation was so complicated that he doesn't fully understand it), but he writes "certain members of the band were at the last minute unable to be a part of this tour. Due to loss of these members, there is absolutely no way Johnathon or the rest of the guys can continue this tour."
On a hopeful note for Unwed Sailor, we are left with, "The band promises to move on and get back on their feet as soon as possible and re-schedule these dates in the next couple of months."
This comes three weeks after Unwed Sailor released The White Ox on October 28 through Burnt Toast Vinyl. Johnathon Ford (Roadside Monument) originally intended to remix the out-of-print The Magic Hedge with Dan Burton, who recorded the first Unwed Sailor album. It quickly turned into The White Ox, a six track album. The Circles EP, which brought two tracks Mist and Mesa, was meant to be released with The White Ox but they felt it was "strong enough and different enough to stand alone and precede the full-length’s arrival." This was the first full-length from Unwed Sailor since 2003.
