well-i never thought vinyl would regain it,s popularity-its the best period. the best music came along while vinyl was all there was-beatles,carpenters, eagles and lot more from bands to instrumemtals. that is very under discussed to me-todays music is mostly crap but, to be fair ideas are not available like the beatles had-- they put out so many different great medolies that has not been matched-and rap crap--that,s not even music-one thing at least--you don,t have to be able to sing to do that shit. the last great song i heard was theme from pearlharhor 2001 from the movie-though the best music today comes from movies to me-- song from movie gran tarino-great and sad-oh well sorry i got on high horse about music instead of vinyl over cd-computer downloads, etc. i wish it was the60,s no cd,s no puters for home use and the rotary phone--glad i was here then as a teenager to witness the beatles on sullivan and the moon landing--young people today missed the greatest decade of all i hate to say--it's all just my opinion i know

Are we forgetting the fact that vinyl's sound is created by running a sharp needle over a plastic surface? Every time you play a record, you're degrading the item. A CD, on the other hand, only gets scratched if you're a bumbling fool....

I think the music industry may be willing to go back to Vinyl for another reason....its hard to pirate Vinyl records! I mean with a CD, I rip it to my computer, save the files on another disk or flash drive and give them to anyone I want. I can also go to the library and rip a CD and return it while still having the album...you can't do that with a Vinyl record.
