Tim Williams: video rotation on MTV

Posted by Flick in News on 10 29th, 2007 | View Comments

Tim Williams - When Work Is Done (Amazon)Tim Williams clever music video for Novel was voted number one on MTVu’s The Freshman, which means that his video will hit MTV’s rotation for a month. The video also made the top top list on VH1.com, debuting at number seven.

Last week R>A>D>A>R Report named Tim Williams the Artist Of The Week on XM Radio. As a result, during the week XM Radio played three tracks from When Work Is Done.

Tim Williams played a short tour in October, then surprised the CMJ crowd. Now he’s booked through mid-December, performing with Geert Van der Velde (Shai Hulud) and The Black Atlantic.

The Tripwire wrote about Tim William’s performance at CMJ:

“I would love to be able to tell you the exact instrumentation of his performance, and even perhaps show you a few photos, but the packed crowd made it impossible to even remotely get close to the stage. Hey, I’m not complaining though, as it was rad to see that many music fans there to enjoy the great pop stylings of Williams’ sophomore album, When Work Is Done.”

Since the marketing behind Tim Williams’s Merchant Heart ep was non-existent, he rerecorded and repackaged several songs and added six tracks. Fortunately, this time around the team pushing When Work Is Done is out in full force. His honest lyrics makes him feel like an old friend, so seeing his emerging success is a welcoming sight.

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
