Tiger Lou: New album coming soon

Posted by Fernanda Alcantara in News on 10 13th, 2007 | View Comments

Tiger LouAfter his lastest album, The Loyal (2005) featuring dark, melancholic and electric sounds, Tiger Lou is currently recording their third album A Partial Print. On his blog, Rasmus Kellermann, singer songwriter wrote:

Hopefully getting some work done, writing the last few lyrics and recording demo versions of a few new songs I have yet to complete. So far – we have three songs finished; Odessa, So Demure and Trust Falls. Three more are in the pipelines, having recorded drums for all of ‘em and a fraction of the guitars and vocals. So, hopefully by the end of October I’ll have ‘em wrapped up as well.

Tiger Lou a.k.a. Rasmus Kellermann is Swedish and writes the songs, plays and produces Tiger Lou. On the albums, Tiger Lou is a solo project with Kellerman playing every instrument on most songs. Live, however, he is backed up by Erik Welén, Mathias Johansson and Pontus Levahn.

Under the influence of 80’s mixing pop, rock , melancholic , Tiger Lou makes a simple and sincere blend. According to Kellerman, the name Tiger Lou is taken from a character called Tiger Lu in Corey Yuen‘s 1993 movie Fong Sai Yuk. He also says that “No one knows where the extra ‘O’ came from” on the band’s official site.

    about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
