The Rest: Everyone All At Once

Posted by Flick in Media, Mp3 Singles, videos on 09 30th, 2009 | View Comments

The Rest - Everything All At OnceThere’s a band that I would have written about earlier this year if I had been on top of my game, but introducing you to The Rest is certainly not too late. The Rest recently signed to UK’s Something In Construction and Everyone All At Once will be released on October 10th (in the UK). For their US release, look them up on Auteur Recordings‘ website. Also, the band is releasing Walk On Water (auspicious beginnings) EP through The Line of Best Fit.

I’m enjoying the album more with every spin and I hope you don’t miss it as it almost slipped by me. Their sound is somewhat dreamy at times, and always takes the unexpected twist.

Rough Trade is also selling the full length using an interesting model. The first 50 albums will be .99 cents, the next 50 will be 1.99, and so on (stopping at 9.99 we presume). You can find the album here.

Adam Bently shared with Puddlegum: “This Walk on Water (auspicious beginnings) EP includes a newly finished cover of Robyn’s ‘With Every Heartbeat,’ which will also appear as part of our forthcoming Cried Wolf Illustrated Novel/4 Song EP.”

So there you have it: one full length, two EPs and an illistrated novel coming your way.

Note: I mistakenly ran this post with the album titled Everything All At Once. I apologize for the confusion, and have decided to repost this article with the correct information.

I believe it’s Everyone All at Once, not Everything. Forgive me if I’m mistaken.

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
