The Innocence Mission to release Street Map EP

Posted by Flick in Music on 11 17th, 2008 | View Comments

Critically acclaimed artists The Innocence Mission are releasing an EP titled Street Map on December 3. The album is made up of seven new songs, and one song “earlier unreleased song.” Their website states that several songs will be on their upcoming full-length that has a planned for spring release.

The Innocence Mission posted clips to two of the songs on Mypsace today: From A Homeland and Pioneering. Judging from the short clips it sounds as though the band is continuing in the vein of We Walked In Song.

The Innocence Mission – Street Map track listing:
1. From a Homeland
2. Sunshine Roof
3. Pioneering
4. We Wake Up in the Earliest Blue of All
5. A Thousand Miles
6. Fair Hill
7. You Draw the Streets of Rome
8. Suitcase Waltz

The pressing of the disc is limited, available only on theinnocencemission.com, as the digital version can only be purchased on Myspace (Snocap) in late November.

Street Map will be The Innocence Mission’s first EP since they debuted in 1989. They have recorded nine full-length albums, with the upcoming spring release marking their tenth album in the twenty years they have been together.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
