Telefon Tel Aviv: Remixes Compiled
Telefon Tel Aviv have posted dates for a short tour in Europe. These ten shows break a stint of silence while Telefon Tel Aviv were recording their new album, Blue Monday. Joshua Eustis and Charles Cooper began recording on January 22, but fans will have to wait for Blue Monday's street date.
Instead, Telefon Tel Aviv are releasing Remixes Compiled through Chicago's Hefty!Records on May 15. Telefon Tel Aviv filled the album with twelve songs that the two have remixed over the past seven years. They include remixes of artists such as Nine Inch Nails, Apparat, and American Analog Set.
Remixes Compiled takes a look at the band's development since they first formed to remix Nine Inch Nails' Even Deeper, remixed in Trent Reznor's studio. Tribe points out that the remix of Even Deeper "was originally slated to appear on the soundtrack to New Port South." A live version o
f the NIN song has leaked, but the studio recording is unreleased. The entire Remixes Compiled can be streamed on Hefty!Records.
