Telefon Tel Aviv have set up a new recording studio in Chicago, after loosing their first recording studio when Katrina hit New Orleans. Not allowing the tragedy to stop them, Joshua Eustis and Charles Cooper have been lending their clicks and glitches to other artists, spending much of the year inside studios.
Puddlegum asked Hefty Records in September when we should expect a new Telefon Tel Aviv album, and the response was "hopefully soon." It now appears that this is true as the band has shared, "melodic ideas are floating around and beats are beginning to coalesce, as well as concepts." The new album will be released on Hefty Records, following the ground-breaking Map Of What Is Effortless.

Electronica is alive in Berlin, as Apparat's Sascha Ring and T. Raumschmiere can attest. The former East German citizens are finishing an LP in December with Joshua Eustis of Telefon Tel Aviv.

Joe Costa, half of electronic band L'altra, is completing his first solo album which is currently being mixed by Joshua Eustis. This isn't the first time Costa has teamed up with Eustis; L'altra had him produce Different Days, and it seemed like a perfect fit. Marc Hellner is producing Costa's new album, his first "full fledged production effort," as he states in his blog.
