Songbird Screencast

Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 09 29th, 2006 | View Comments

SongbirdSongbird is a new open source media player that integrates with the web in a ground-breaking way. "As the Songbird website explains: Songbird plays the Media Web. Play MP3s without leaving the page. Songbird views Web pages as dynamic playlists to play, save, download or subscribe to."

Surf the web inside the player and Songbird will create web playlists of the media on the page. Download songs, subscribe to or bookmark sites, search for the song/artist around the web, or shop for the music online. You can integrate it with iTunes and listen to your library of songs; Songbird is the perfect companion for audio blogs such as Puddlegum.Songbird Screencast

To show you the potential of this new program (it's still version 0.2), we created a screencast of Songbird in action. We show some of the basics by surfing Puddlegum in Songbird. Download the program and tell your friends. Songbird is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.

The Songbird Screencast was created by Puddlegum and hosted by Flick. The screencast is also available in high quality at our good friend's website: Starryhope.com.

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
