Posted by Flick in Puddlegum Archives on 05 7th, 2007 | View Comments

Someone Still Loves You Boris YeltsinSomeone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin is releasing new material for the first time in two years. One more show will wrap up a three month tour with Mute Math and The Cinematics. On May 22 Polyvinyl will release Not Worth Fighting For as a 7".

The vinyl release comes out at the beginning of a month long tour in Europe. Ten of the dates will be in Germany, and six will be in the UK. Since the band's debut in 2005, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin have played shows with Tapes 'N Tapes, Aloha, of Montreal, Catfish Haven and Birdmonster, and Mute Math.

"Broom was recorded in an attic and a living room on Weller Street, Knauer's home. The band's ambition was simple- to make the 'Local Releases' bin at CD Warehouse," mentions their biography. Their debut was released in 2005 and caught the affection of critics. Polyvinyl re-released Broom in October 2006, and the coming 7" will give the band fresh tunes to pluck.

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
