Snowden: tour with Malajube

Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 02 1st, 2007 | View Comments

SnowdenSnowden will kick off a tour with Malajube on February 16, keeping them on the road until March 12. The tour takes them from New York City through the Midwest and down the West Coast. Snowden ends the tour with a showcase at South by Southwest. Details for SXSW have yet to be announced, but Snowden is telling us, "There will most likely be multiple opportunities to catch us."

Snowden has promised that remixes of their songs will be posted as free downloads on their website soon. The remixes "will feature the infamous Le Castle Vania remix, among others."

A new Snowden music video has been released for the song Like Bullets. This is the band's second music video since releasing their debut full-length on Jade Tree in August, 2006. The video was created by Refrigerator Art Productions and shows the band performing in "green suites" with video images of the members cast onto their bodies.

Malajube released their sophomore disc in '06 through the French label Ladilafé and Dare to Care Records for their North American distribution. Their website explains, "Malajube is a Canadian pop-rock quintet that in 2004 quietly impressed hungry listeners with their debut record Le Compte Complet and more recently has drawn a wide amount of praise for their second album Trompe-l’Oeil, springing out of the already artistically rich local music scene, with their unique and original sound."

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
