Sleeping At Last: summer tour, writing for new album

Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 05 26th, 2007 | View Comments

Sleeping At LastSleeping At Last will be touring through the remainder of 2007 in support of Keep No Score. With over 240,000 plays on MySpace, fans won't be dissappointed to find out that they have begun writing songs for their next album, which will be released independently.

Ryan O'Neal shared with Puddlegum, "I've been working on some writing in between our touring. We plan to focus in on the next record, in 2008, and we'll continue to tour in support of Keep No Score for the rest of this year. We've got a couple more TV shows that will be featuring some of our music later this year."

The band will be touring for the first three weeks of June, after playing ten shows in May. Sleeping At Last released Keep No Score in late 2006 and have since been supporting the album on the road with a number of tours. This particular tour will take them from their Chicago home to the West Coast, hitting a few shows in the South as well. They will be performing at Cornerstone Music Festival in Bushnell, Illinois on June 30.

Sleeping At Last When the band chose to release Keep No Score independently, they had already established inroads in the music industry. Bjorn Thorsud (Smashing Pumpkins, Dandy Warhols) engineered their latest album, and John Goodmanson (Sleeping At Last, Death Cab for Cutie, Sleater Kinney) mixed the tracks. Quicksand, from Keep No Score, was featured on the season three premier of Grey's Anatomy.

Sleeping At Last's previous album, Ghost, was produced by Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins), leading to appearances on Fuse TV's IMX, and tours with Zwan, Switchfoot, Yellowcard, and Something Corporate.

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
