Sleep Whale: Little Brite

Posted by Flick in Media, Mp3 Singles, Music on 06 6th, 2009 | View Comments

Sleep WhaleCurators of folk instrumentals will want to tune into Sleep Whale. They have a six song EP coming out on July 14th called Little Brite. They write acoustic driven melodies, mix in the emotive effect of strings, hand percussion when needed and process the recordings, adding electronic noises and ambient flares.

Sleep Whale – Josh Likes Me

“For guitarist/cellist Joel North and violinist/sequence programmer Bruce Blay, the melding of traditional live acoustic sounds of violin, cello, and guitar with vanguard electronic processing is the most natural thing in the world. Woven throughout the infectious melodies of violin, cello, and guitar you’ll find music boxes, shortwave radios, tape machines, field recordings, and much more.”

Having a relaxing sleep is very important to our overall health as well
as in our work productivity. Both are greatly affected when we do not
get enough sleep. If we’re short of sleep, the body will not become
energetic as it should be when you have a complete sleep.

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
