The Shins: Saturday Night Live on January 13

Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 01 10th, 2007 | View Comments

The ShinsThe Shins are the musical guests on Saturday Night Live this weekend, January 13, hosted by Jake Gyllenhaal (Jarhead, Brokeback Mountain). This kicks off a string of appearances, enough that the band admits, "we are having a hard time keeping track of it all ourselves."

If you live in New York City, pick up a copy of Wincing The Night Away at Virgin Records and you'll be able to see them perform at Midnight on January 22 at the Virgin Records in New York's Union Square. The next night, January 23, The Shins will be on CBS's Late Show with David Letterman… the day Wincing The Night Away will be released.

Starting January 18, Wincing The Night Away will be streaming on MySpace, until January 21.

On January 26 The Shins will perform on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic. Later that day at 8:00pm, there is a free in-store show at the Amoeba Records in Hollywood.

    about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
