She and Him announces Volume Two

Posted by Flick in Media, Mp3 Singles, videos on 12 9th, 2009 | View Comments

She and HimWhen an artist names an album Volume One, we all assume that they also intend to release Volume Two. This was the case when actress Zooey Deschanel and folk god M. Ward released She & Him: Volume One, sounding somewhat as though they had stepped out of the 1950′s. Meant as, “a love letter to the musicians who inspired it,” Volume One gained critical acclaim and left everyone wanting She&Him to be a little more than a side project.

On March 23rd, 2010, fans will be treated to Volume Two via Merge Records. We’re told that Volume Two is “bigger, bolder and more beautiful than its predecessor.” Zooey described Volume Two as a “feel-good album.” The album will consist of eleven original songs and two covers.

She & Him Volume Two Track List:
1. Thieves
2. In The Sun
3. Don’t Look Back
4. Ridin’ In My Car (originally by NRBQ)
5. Lingering Still
6. Me And You
7. Gonna Get Along Without You (originally by Skeeter Davis)
8. Home
9. I’m Gonna Make It Better
10. Sing
11. Over It Over Again
12. Brand New Shoes
13. If You Can’t Sleep

Until we’re teased with a new mp3 (we’re told to expect an mp3 in late January or early February), enjoy:
