Rogue Wave has confirmed a September US tour, opening for Feist over six consecutive dates. Three days after the tour, their new album, Asleep at Heaven’s Gate, will be released on September 18 on Jack Johnson’s Brushfire Records. Then in October they will headline their own tour in support of the new album. Presales for the October tour begin today, August 2.
Asleep at Heaven’s Gate track listing is complete with twelve songs. “We’re really pumped about the new album, which features 12 new songs, some of which you might recognize from recent performances.”
“The 12- track record finds the Oakland, CA foursome creating one of the most affecting and beguiling records of recent memory. Produced by Roger Moutenot (Yo La Tengo, Sleater Kinney, Elvis Costello) with Zach Rogue. Asleep At Heaven’s Gate features guest appearances by Matthew Caws from Nada Surf and John Vanderslice.” (Brushfire Records)

Can’t wait! I think a lot of people are going to be surprised with the new record. Although it has all the Rogue trademarks, the songs are longer and a bit more complex with lots of changes. You’ll need some headphones for this one ….
