Rocky Votolato: tour ends in November, recording begins

Posted by Flick in News on 10 20th, 2006 | View Comments

Rocky Votolato Rocky Votolato is halfway through a tour supporting Makers, playing shows with Lucero and William Elliott Whitmore. At the beginning of the tour, Rocky wrote on his website, “I don’t think I could have picked out a better tour package than this one.”

Rocky Votolato went on to say, “I’ll be heading into the studio when I get home in late november to start work on a follow up to Makers. The schedule is still tenative, but I’m hoping to have a new record out by the fall of next year.”

No word yet on who will produce the new album, or what studio Rocky will work out of. Makers was released on Barsuk and Second Nature Recordings, and the new album will follow suit. This will be the eighth solo album for the former Waxwing vocalist.

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
