The Postmarks to debut on Unfiltered Records

Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 09 20th, 2006 | View Comments

The PostmarksDebuting on Unfiltered is a band that has yet to perform their first concert as The Postmarks. The dreamy female vocalist Tim Yehezkely draws the listener in to their pristine pop, and leads a band of three members, Christopher Moll and Jon Wilkins.

As The Postmark's biography states, "The first single Goodbye opens the record with a firm farewell to the past and a welcome to the future. Each song is a step toward an understanding of love's persistent call." Andy Chase (Ivy, Tahiti 80, Brookville) mixed their self-produced album and signed the band to his label, Unfiltered Records, with plans to release the self-titled debut. While the Unfiltered Records website states that the album will be out in October 2006, the band website and management agency, World's-Fair, reveals a January 23, 2007, release date. It is Puddlegum's speculation that the album will be available at their live performances prior to the official release date.

In addition to the eleven song release, there are several remixes waiting to be revealed: Goodbye has a "Bit Stream Dream Remix", a "Ma Radio Star Remix", and a "Tahiti 80 Remix". Leaves has a "Roger O'Donnel Remix", while You Drift Away has a "Brookville Remix" and a "Saturday Club Remix".

Other interesting notes about The Postmarks: Tim Yehezkely resides in both Tel Aviv, Israel, and Bristol, CT. Jon Wilkins was the author of a graphic novel, Drifter Smile. Cristopher Moll currently has two albums out with international distribution; See Vinus – Hard Time For Dreamers on March Records, and the self-titled Timewellspent album on Parasol Records. Christopher also his own recording studio, Room Recording.

    about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
