Over the Rhine: Snow Angels and coffee blends

Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 12 12th, 2006 | View Comments

Over the RhineOver the Rhine has released Snow Angels, their 2nd Christmas album in ten years. The eleven track album features original Christmas songs, a rarity these days. Fans that pre-purchased the album were given "early, bare boned versions of many of the songs that eventually became Snow Angels."

Live from Nowhere Volume Two will be released in March. "We collect the best 2006 concert highlights we can come up with onto a limited edition, signed and numbered CD." This will be their 17th album release since 1991.

If the new music isn't enough to bring warmth this winter, Over the Rhine now have their own Over the Rhine coffee blend. The band claims that the beans are "specially blended for artists, writers, musicians, day dreamers and night walkers," while the blend is roasted by Chuck Roast the day they're shipped.

Over the Rhine is having a Christmas Gathering, stating:

"Karin and I would like to invite you to join us on December 17th at 3pm (the day after our Taft Theater Homecoming Concert) for a holiday gathering featuring an acoustic performance, some spoken word, some conversation and of course some festive food and drink. We did this last year as well, and it's a great way to end our working year, surrounded by our extended musical family."

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
