Maple Union: recording new album

Maple UnionThree years after their first release, Maple Union has begun working on a new album. Several demos of new melodic rock songs have been recorded and posted on MySpace, and since then the band has pieced together their own recording studio to record new material. Maple Union is Jeremy Forehand and Josh Henderson, hailing from Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Josh Henderson had previously drummed for Octane Blue, signed to Burnt Toast Vinyl. After Octane Blue broke up, Henderson joined up with Jeremy Forehand's band, Under the Red, and toured with Denali, The Mercury Program, Dimemberment Plan, 238, and Denison Marrs. When Under the Red broke up, Henderson and Forehand continued to write music, recording their debut Georgia EP with Jamey Bozeman (Luxury).

Maple Union's management shared with Puddlegum: "The Georgia EP provided a small glimpse into a large pool of potential which combines Henderson’s Raine Maida-esque vocals, mature songwriting, and the group’s diverse influences (Rush, Smashing Pumpkins, Hum, Cave In, Death Cab for Cutie)."

Maple Union is up for the Cornerstone Festival New Band Showcase, you can vote for them here.
