Luke Temple Makes Right with Grey’s Anatomy
Luke Temple (Mill Pond Records) had a song featured on Grey's Anatomy last night, November 9. Make Right With You from Luke Temple's Hold A Match For A Gasoline World was playing in the background 13:50 into the show when a lady is about to find out that she has lost her unborn son. "When all goes sideways and all goes blue / that's the time to make right with you" is heard in the background.
Luke Temple is releasing a new album in early 2007, mixing in whirs, beeps, and loops with his folksy and finger picking style.
Speaking of Grey's Anatomy, Sleeping At Last was featured on the season premiere with their song Quicksand. This feature came as the band was releasing their new album, Keep No Score, and packing their van for a tour.
Being featured on a popular show not only brings exposure, nor does it just provide royalties, but it also looks great on "one sheets" that retail stores look over when ordering CDs. They'll forever have the "featured on…" tag to show that their music is marketable. The long term benefits are obvious and landing the next deal is that much easier.
