Lovedrug: granted release from Columbia Records
Michael Shepard and Lovedrug was granted release from Columbia Records. The band's press release from The Muse Box reveals that "a revolving door of key figures at the label took its toll," which became the central reason why Everything Starts Where It Ends was delayed from a planned 2005 release to the March 6, 2007 release date. The band was able to retain the rights to the album and will be releasing it on The Militia Group, the same label that released Pretend You're Alive.
It's not only Columbia that resembled a "revolving door". Michael Shepard is the only remaining original member of Lovedrug, as Puddlegum previously reported. In spite of the changes, the band continues its aggressive touring schedule. Lovedrug will be touring the US with Plain White T's from March 4 to May 3 on a 45-plus gig tour. With the March 6 release, Lovedrug can begin to look forward to writing new songs and continue their musical journey.
