Lovedrug: Everything Starts Where It Ends debuts at #162

Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 03 23rd, 2007 | View Comments

Press Release from The Militia Group:

Lovedrug’s sophomore album, Everything Starts Where It Ends, debuted at #162 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart, #5 on the Heatseekers chart and #2 on the Alternative New Artist chart, week of release. The band celebrated the impressive first week sales with four packed shows at the South By Southwest Music Festival, and immediately rejoined their national tour with Plain White T’s.

The band’s success has prompted Yahoo! Music to hand pick the Ohio-based quartet for its acclaimed Who’s Next online promotional campaign. The month-long, vote-driven contest, which began March 14, is showcasing the band’s video Ghost By Your Side and the album’s lead track Happy Apple Poison. Like past winners My Chemical Romance, Hawthorne Heights and fellow Militia Group label mates Cartel and Copeland, Lovedrug will be invited to Yahoo!’s Los Angeles headquarters to record an exclusive interview and a one-song performance if they take the top honors. Fans can head to http://launch.yahoo.com/promotions/whosnext to vote for the band.

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
