Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 04 24th, 2007 | View Comments

Land of TalkLand of Talk has announced two tours for the months of May and June. The band debuted with Applause Cheer Boo Hiss EP on Rebel Group on March 20, and the new media bloggers raved in collusion. Building on the excitement for this Montreal band, eight shows are lined up in the UK and Scotland for a "UK takeover," May 17 through 25.

After the UK dates, Land of Talk will begin their summer tour with The Rosebuds of Merge Records, trekking the US and Canada during the month of June. On July 16 the band will be performing with The Decemberists and The RosebudsGrizzly Bear at New York City's Central Park Summerstage.

The Rosebuds are celebrating release of the self-produced Night of the Furies, released as recent as April 10. Explaining the name of the album in their blog, "The Furies were Roman goddesses named Tisiphone (avenger of murder), Megaera (grudging), and Alecto (constant anger). They were born from night and they punish crimes on Earth that go unpunished."

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
