Junior Boys: Dead Horse EP

Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 04 9th, 2007 | View Comments

Several Junior Boys songs from So This Is Goodbye have been remixed by Hot Chip, Tensnake, Carl Craig, and Kode 9, and on April 9 they'll be released as the Dead Horse EP. The CD version contains a fifth remix by Marsen Jules, and will be the first format to hit the shelves. Domino Records has printed the EP on two 12"s, releasing the vinyl on May 8.

The band first hit the scene with their Birthday / Last Exit EP debut in October 2003, and High Come Down EP landing February 2004, both via Kin Records. In September, 2006 Jeremy Greenspan and Johnny Dark released their third Junior Boys album, So This Is Goodbye. The acclaim poured in, placing on many "top albums" lists, and drawing many comparisons to the Pet Shop Boys.

The Dead Horse EP will give the band new material to swap out during their US tour, which started April 6. San Serac will be supporting them on the road, and their April 13 show in Washington, DC will be with Aqueduct and Youth Group. The Billions Corporation booking agency has kept Junior Boys on the road, teaming them up with artists such as Hot Chip.

    about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
