Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 06 1st, 2007 | View Comments

José GonzálezSwedish Grammis winner, José González, will release In Our Nature in the US on September 25 via Mute Records, and Imperial Records will bring the album to the rest of world on September 26.

In his own words about the album, "I like playing with symbolism. On this album I’ve wanted to bring out the primitive aspects of human beings." This statement is echoed by the titles of the eleven track album.

José González – In Our Nature:

02 Down the Line
03 Killing for Love
04 In Our Nature
05 Teardrop
06 Abram
07 Time to Send Someone Away
08 The Nest

"In Our Nature is an album that on the one hand is very accessible and speaks easily, and on the other has a darkness and a seriousness that more than often borders on what should be considered healthy." (Imperial Records)

Music from this Argentinean Swede has reached around the world with "four years of constant touring." On May 31 González continued his global trek, where he will be walking onto stages in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Uraguay, Sweden, Belgium, Turkey, France, Ireland, Japan, and the US.

José González's debut, Veneer, sold over 700,000 copies world-wide, at a time when selling 60,000 copies could land an artist on the #1 spot on Billboard. He won the Swedish Government's Music Export Prize at Grammis 2007, four years after his music began to spread beyond Scandinavian shore lines. González joined Zero 7 after recording with them, and enjoyed being nominated for a Grammy (US) as Best Electronic / Dance Album for their release of The Garden.

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
