Jeremy Enigk: to begin recording full-length
Jeremy Enigk will begin recording a full-length album next week, with plans to release it in 2008. Santi Garcia shared with Puddlegum, “I’ll be recording Jeremy’s new album from October 15th to November 18th.” The album will be tracked at Garcia’s studio, Ultramarinos Costa Brava, in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Spain.
Opportunities to see Jeremy Enigk have been sparse in 2007. Tonight, October 9, Jeremy Enigk will perform at the Highline Ballroom in New York City, sharing the ticket with Kevin Devine. Tickets are available at Ticket Web.
Puddlegum first announced in May that Jeremy Enigk would release an EP of b-sides with unfinished tracks from the World Waits album. The rumors proved to be true when Enigk quietly slipped The Missing Link to his fans on August 21. The Missing Link was released on Enigk’s Lewis Hollow label, with two other labels credited for this release: 1981 Clothing Inc, 567 Records.
The opening four tracks of The Missing Link are unreleased b-sides: Oh John, Chewing Gum, Tatseo Show, and On the Wayside. Rock Sellout explains: “The album was self-produced by Jeremy Enigk and Josh Myers and mastered at West West Side Music by the infallible Kimberly Rosen.”
Five tracks from World Waits fill out the second half of the album. These songs were recorded live at Sony Studio in Santa Monica, California: River to Sea, Been Here Before, Canons, Dare a Smile, and World Waits.
