Jeremy Enigk: New album is coming soon

Posted by Flick in Music on 11 17th, 2008 | View Comments

Jeremy Enigk (Sunny Day Real Estate, Fire Theft) has announced that his new album is finished. “It’s good. Really good. We can’t wait to share it with you all. We’re not announcing a release date just yet, but it’s coming soon, we promise.”

The album was mostly tracked in Spain with Santi Garcia at Ultramarinos Costa Brava, in Sant Feliu de Guixols. Santi Garcia confirmed with Puddlegum in 2007, “I’ll be recording Jeremy’s new album from October 15th to November 18th.”

The closest hints we have at what the new album will sound like are Youtube videos of Jeremy performing two songs earlier this year; one song is titled Mind Ideas, about “land and how it’s destroyed by a city.”

A new Vanilla message board and a Big Cartel store were also created for Enigk’s label, Lewis Hollow in preparation for Enigk’s new album. On October 28 Jeremy announced a list of US tour dates:

11/17/08 @ The BLVD – Spokane, Washington

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
