Jeremy Enigk: leaves European fans hanging
Jeremy Enigk canceled his European tour with Brand New and mewithoutYou two weeks before the first show, due to an "illness", and upsetting fans who waited seven years to see Enigk.
Though Jeremy Enigk never gave an official announcement about the cancellation on any of his websites, a band member member that was on the planned tour filled in his fans on The Fire Theft message board: "Jeremy has definitely dropped off the tour. Please, if you are considering traveling to see Jeremy Enigk with Brand New and mewithoutYou, know that he is not performing."
Instead, rumor has it that Jeremy Enigk decided to stay with the members of Madee for several months and will be playing shows in Spain during his stay. So far Jeremy Enigk and Madee have six shows lined up. Jeremy also has a show in Gießen, Germany with Emirsian on March 1.
Jeremy Enigk toured extensively for two months prior to the originally planned European tour. Brand New and mewithoutYou continued the tour, and many fans of Enigk showed up expecting to see him perform. The legendary rocker has a history of dropping shows to rest his voice, lending to the frustration of his fans.
