Introducing Mill Pond Records
Mill Pond Records is a record label based out of San Clemente, California (formerly from Seattle). Managed by Mike Manning, they have a growing collection of albums that you should know about. Mike was a legal intern at Sub Pop for four years while he was in law school. He now runs Mill Pond with the mission to release music that he enjoys.
Mill Pond Records recently released a creative work from instrumentalist/composer Robert Stillman, called Horses. Horses was engineered by Troy Tietjen (The Decemberists, Death Cab for Cutie), originally recorded in 2004, and released by Mill Pond in January 2006. Mill Pond describes:
Stillman uses an eclectic sonic palette that includes saxophones, clarinets, old pianos, pump organs, and drums to create short musical narratives that exist on their own, but also work together to create a vivid, self-contained world that echoes the composer's interest in all things mysterious.

Another release you'll enjoy is from a collective experimental pop group from Brooklyn called Flying. Fans of Danielson, Damien Jurado, and Animal Collective will enjoy Flying's debut full-length Just-one-second-ago-broken Eggshell.
Flying – Last Trick
Flying – Minors
Mike Manning shared with Puddlegum that the next Mill Pond Records albums slotted for release include "a solo project from Jason Holstrom (from United State of Electronica), a debut album from Josh Ottum and Luke Temple's second album."
