I never wrote a letter to my home…

Posted by Flick in Music on 05 22nd, 2009 | View Comments

During the writing hiatus, there have been a number of albums and songs I’ve enjoyed tremendously. Admittedly, most of the music I engrossed myself in were 30+ years old (yes, especially Pet Sounds and Highway 61 Revisited).

Here are some songs that I would have posted if time had permitted. All of these songs were released in 2009. (I’ll leave them on the site for seven days.)

Jeremy Enigk – Same Side Imaginary (from OK Bear)
Loney, Dear – Everything Turns To You (from Dear John)
Great Lake Swimmers – Pulling On A Line (from Lost Channels)
Andrew Bird – Fitz And The Dizzyspells (from Noble Beast)
The Innocence Mission – From A Homeland (from Street Map)
Antony and Bryce Dessner – I Was Young When I Left Home (Bob Dylan cover)

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
