Gabriel Olin: debuts with Here

Posted by Flick in News on 09 10th, 2007 | View Comments

Gabriel OlinGabriel Olin has released his debut tube-amped screaming EP called Here, with the Go Bird Records imprint. Two of the tracks, Someday and Here, can be streamed at Myspace.

Gabriel Olin brings carefully laid tracks of guitar riffs and grooves, with rich tones that take years to brew. The five tracks in this album pay homage to influential bands of the past, particularly Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Paul McCartney.

“My dream is to have someone feel the way I feel when I listen to ‘Abbey Road’ or ‘Dark Side of the Moon,’ which is a kind of wonder and rapture.”

Gabriel Olin from Berkeley, California, is not only a guitarist and songwriter but also a producer. In 2006 he recorded I Got You Babe with Gay Golveo, under the name Gay and Gabe.

Gabriel Olin – Here track listing:
1. I’ll Be With You
2. Someday
3. Here

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
