Film School: Southern tour with British Sea Power

Posted by Flick in News on 02 28th, 2008 | View Comments

Film School have announced they will be touring the South with British Sea Power. So far ten dates have been listed on their Myspace, starting on April 11, but more shows are promised. This will mark Film School’s first show in Florida, delighting fans with three gigs in The Sunshine State. We’re also told to expect East Coast and Midwest shows.

This tour will begin three months after British Sea Power released Do You Like Rock Music, their third full-length. If you register on British Sea Power’s email list you’ll receive an mp3 of Close the Door, an acoustic version of Open the Door off their new album.

Film School will be performing on four stages at South By Southwest, sharing the bill with Scissors for Lefty, Rogue Wave, Autolux, Islands, A Place to Bury Strangers, and others. As they travel back to their San Fransisco homes, they will play four shows with Airiel in California and Nevada, resting for two weeks before kicking off the British Sea Power gigs.

Fans of Film School will enjoy an imeem playlist that the band created in November, `07. The playlist is a list of influential artists, each track introduced by a Film School member.

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
