Film School in the movies

Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 09 21st, 2006 | View Comments

Film SchoolOne of the most heavily listened to albums spinning in Puddlegum's iPod is the self-titled Film School debut on Beggars Banquet Records. I was excited to find their first single, 11:11, on iTunes with the additional song, Walk Until Sunday, back in May. I'm hooked, or should I say harmed? A limited print of the 11:11 single was released in August 15, though it had been available for digital junkies on iTunes and Emusic since May 1.

After checking out the band website to see if they had any news, I found this exciting post:

Film School in the movies

We're pretty excited about this…. Film School's "On & On" is going to be in an upcoming movie with a pretty great soundtrack. The film is called "You Are Here," written and directed by Henry Pincus, produced by Paul Schiff (MONA LISA SMILE, RUSHMORE) and stars Bijou Phillips, Patrick Flueger, Katie Cassidy and Michael Biehn.

YOU ARE HERE is the story of six friends in LA and one crazy night out. The soundtrack will include Joy Division, Stars, Bloc Party, Felix Da Housecat, Brian Jonestown Massacre and The Rapture. Release date TBA. We'll let you know more as we hear about it.

Categorized as a comedy/romance, IMDB describes the plot of You Are Here as: Six people in Los Angeles recall their misadventures from the previous night at a club.

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
