Film School: five songs into new album

Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 11 9th, 2006 | View Comments

Film School (from The Big Takeover)Film School is five songs into their next album. The band is self-producing the album in their home city of San Francisco and L.A. The band's management, From The Future, told Puddlegum to "expect something lush and dreamy, but still very Film School." The album will be released in early 2007 on Beggars, but no release date has been set yet.

On August 15, Film School released the 11:11 single from their self-titled LP along with a new song Walk Until Sunday that gives hints of where the band is heading musically. The single was first released and targeted in the UK through Beggars before being released on iTunes in the US.

As Puddlegum reported, On and On will be featured on the soundtrack of a film called You Are Here. The movie was written and directed by Henry Pincus, and produced by Paul Schiff (Mona Lisa Smile, Rushmore). The soundtrack also features Bloc Party and The Rapture.

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
