Eisley: new album being produced by Richard Gibbs

Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 09 28th, 2006 | View Comments

EisleyIndie pop Eisley has begun recording their sophomore album on Warner Brothers. The band was fortunate to have Richard Gibbs jump on board to produce the four siblings and cousin. "He's interesting, eccentric, confident but not arrogant… and what's more – he's the best (and only) Hollywood-orchestral-film-scoring-moguls I know," they shared on the Eisley journal. Gibbs was the keyboardist for the `80s new wave band Oingo Boingo, and has since recorded on over 150 albums, and written the score for 50+ films. The band is currently in Malibu with Gibbs in his studio, The Woodshed.

Once named Moss Eisley, the young group has toured with Snow Patrol, Switchfoot, and New Found Glory… to name a few. Ian from New Found Glory dared them to record a song about himself (as a joke) and they took him up on it. Ian insisted that the song be called Ian Is Amazingly Beautiful and that it would be recorded on Apple's Garage Band. Pretty funny.

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
