Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 03 22nd, 2007 | View Comments

EfterklangEfterklang will be releasing Under Giant Trees on Aril 2.This five-track EP will be one of two albums that Efterklang will release in `07. Fans of experimental soundscapes will appreciate what this Danish band is creating.

Rasmus Stolberg of Efterklang shared with Puddlegum, "The cd will be released in 4500 numbered copies and the vinyl in 1200 numbered copies with white vinyl discs. In the fall we will release our new full length album which will carry 11 new tracks. These two new releases Under Giant Trees and the coming album will not share any songs in the tracklists."

The Leaf Label will deliver Under Giant Trees around the world, while Rumraket, which is owned and operated by members of Efterklang, will distribute the album in Denmark. The Leaf Label calls Efterklang's EP, "mesmerising – at once vibrant, otherworldly, poignant and panoramic."

Robert Nylund from Social Club directed a live video of the band performing Jojo, the fifth track on Under Giant Trees. The video was, "recorded live at Nalen, Stockholm (11/05) on a single 16mm camera."

Efterklang's song Towards The Baren Hill is part of the ThinkSync Film Competition, where film makers must incorporate independent music into their short film.

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
