The Early Years: The Great Awakening EP

Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 12 8th, 2006 | View Comments

The Early YearsThe Early Years have just finished their EP, The Great Awakening, set for an early February release on Beggars Banquet Records. The keyword for this band is productivity, as they pumped out an EP, an LP, a single, and yet another EP in 12 months. The Great Awakening will bring us four more effect-laden tracks, as the band prepares for another year of tours.

Gaining worldwide distribution, The Early Years debut LP is being released in Japan this month and will be released in the US in January. Top this with the announcement that they are "coming to America in January" to support the self-titled LP and the new Great Awakening EP.

The band echoed that they won't be playing in the UK for a while:
"The Early Years play their final show of 2006 on Thursday 14th December. It'll be the last show we'll be playing for quite a while in the UK, more of a party vibe to celebrate 2006, which has been an amazing year for us. It's at the Old Queens Head on Essex Road, London N1. Not sure what time we'll be on stage, but it's a fairly small venue so make sure you get in early, There's DJs on till 2 and its only £2/3 to get in."

The Great Awakening EP track listing:
Say What I Want To
On Fire
Autumn Song
A Little More Version II

The Early Years – All Ones and Zeros
The Early Years – So Far Gone

The Early Years on:
iTunes | Emusic | Amazon | Hype Machine | Elbo.ws

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
