Deleted Scenes cover The Smiths
Deleted Scenes have announced a six week US tour, on the heals of a solid Pitchfork review for their new album, Birdseed Shirt (they gave them an 8.0). They also covered The Smiths song Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want for a Morrissey tribute compilation.
“It’s certainly our ugliest, and possibly our prettiest, recording to date,” the band explains. “It’s a radical reinterpretation of a classic song which still retains the mood of the original. If you connect emotionally to the sound of scraping metal and towering fuzz guitar, this is your track.”
