Decemberists: Rout of the Patagons Tour 2006

Posted by Flick in News on 08 22nd, 2006 | View Comments

Colin Meloy and The Decemberists will be performing 26 shows across the US this fall, starting October 17th and ending November 18th. The Rout Of The Patagons Tour will include Nethers, Violent Femmes (and Cake), Lavender Diamond, and Alasdair Roberts. The Decemberists will be releasing a DVD on February 15, 2007 with their label, Kill Rock Stars.

The Rout Of The Patagons Tour follows the quiet July 25th release of the Picaresqueties five song EP. The short release starts and ends with two different renditions of Bandit Queen. Bridges & Balloons, Constantinople, and Kingdom of Spain fill the space between the Bandit Queen bookends. The Decemberist website says that Picaresquities is “all of the (listenable) out-takes from the Picaresque sessions.” The Decemberists have been signed to Kill Rock Stars since 2004, a label out of Olympia, Washington, and have released 3 full length albums under their moniker.

    about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
