Death Cab for Cutie: website 3.0, new album in May

Posted by Flick in News on 12 20th, 2007 | View Comments

dcfc Death Cab for Cutie has launched a new website, “website 3.0″ which is “just in time for you to explore during the holidays.” The new website ties in with web 2.0 sites, such as Digg, del.ico.us, and Youtube.

The website has a video teaser, showing the band’s recording progress. The video ends with a hint of the band’s attitude about this album: “I just don’t feel we really have anything to prove other than to ourselves and to making a record we normally enjoy.”

Death Cab for Cutie have spent 44 days in three studios in Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco, tracking to tape. The new Death Cab for Cutie album will be released in May, 2008.

“Check out the different videos we’ve made over the years, as well as live footage; look through exclusive photos taken by our friends; visit our store for some holiday gifts and log onto the newly designed message boards and chat with other Death Cab fans.”

Hmmm. It’s an empty directory at this time. Wonder what happened.

Death Cab for Cutie Fan Site has some great information on the band as well as the new album video. The new album is going to be the most anticipated album of 2008! Guaranteed! Can’t hardly wait myself. Also did you know the Chris Walla solo album is coming this spring?

    about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
