Damien Rice: 9 in November
Damien Rice announced today that his second full-length, 9, is set to be released around the globe on November 14. The first single, the title track, started streaming today at 14th Floor Records, a record label that Damien owns. 9 Crimes (the single) is a duet between Damien Rice and Lisa Hannigan. The album will have 10 tracks (listed below).
Expect to hear 9 Crimes on soundtracks and TV shows, as several songs from Damien Rice's highly successful debut album, O, made their rounds. O went on to go platinum in Ireland, where Rice is from. Rice performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony in December 2005, due to his political activity in a campaign to free the Burmese Leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, whom he wrote Unplayed Piano for.
