Damien Rice: 9 in November

Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 09 25th, 2006 | View Comments

Damien RiceDamien Rice announced today that his second full-length, 9, is set to be released around the globe on November 14. The first single, the title track, started streaming today at 14th Floor Records, a record label that Damien owns. 9 Crimes (the single) is a duet between Damien Rice and Lisa Hannigan. The album will have 10 tracks (listed below).

Expect to hear 9 Crimes on soundtracks and TV shows, as several songs from Damien Rice's highly successful debut album, O, made their rounds. O went on to go platinum in Ireland, where Rice is from. Rice performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony in December 2005, due to his political activity in a campaign to free the Burmese Leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, whom he wrote Unplayed Piano for.

The tracklist for 9:
1. 9 Crimes
2. The Animals Were Gone
3. Elephant
4. Rootless Tree
5. Dogs
6. Coconut Skins
7. Me, My Yoke And I
8. Grey Room
9. Accidental Babies
10. Sleep Don't Weep

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
