The Changes to debut Today is Tonight on Drama Club Records

Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 09 14th, 2006 | View Comments

The Changes are about to make their national debut with the release of Today is Tonight full-length on 9.26. Drama Club Records agreed to release the self-produced album in the US after The Changes independently released two EP's and were Lollapalooza's only unsigned band. Kitchenware Records is releasing the album in the UK.

Engineered by Chris Brickley (R. Kelly, Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot), The Changes spent three months recording Today is Tonight at Wall To Wall studio in Chicago. The band admits to being obsessive over their songwriting and recording processes, vocalist Darren Spitzer explains, "Chris knows that we change our songs at any given moment and often at the last minute. That was a big part of working with him for the album. We needed someone who was going to trust our neurotic instincts”.

The Changes - Today is TonightAccording to the Drama Club Record's press release, Today is Tonight was written to express the day turning into night, opening with When I Wake and ending with When I Sleep. Heavy laden with keys, this album will thrill any New Wave and Indie dance rock fan. Be sure to pick up this album when it comes out on 9.26.

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
