Canon Blue: Colonies to be released on Rumraket

Posted by Flick in News on 08 6th, 2007 | View Comments

Daniel James of Canon BlueCanon Blue will be releasing his debut album on Rumraket, a label based in Denmark, on September 24. The album is called Colonies and was re-mixed by Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear, mastered by Christian Vogel.

Daniel James, the genius behind Canon Blue, signed with Rumraket in June. Though he lives in Nashville, Colonies will be released in Europe. No date has been set yet for a release in North America. Four tracks can be streamed at MySpace.

Canon Blue is arming themselves for live shows, prepping their loops and machines for the stage. “A house show tour is currently in the works to take us in to the fall. So if you have a living room/basement/kitchen/bathroom and would like to have Canon Blue serenade you personally, please be in contact.”

about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
