Camera Obscura: to release fourth single for UK and European tour

Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 03 25th, 2007 | View Comments

Camera Obscura is releasing their fourth single from Let's Get Out of This Country. Tears For Affairs will be released with two other tracks and a video on CD and 7" on Elefant Records.

The EP single will have the previously unreleased song called The Last Song, and "the 7" is backed with our version of Super Trouper (Deep Purple, ABBA)". The songs were recorded at Chem 19 Studios with Paul Savage in their hometown of Glasgow, Scotland, when they recorded bonus tracks for If Looks Could Kill EP in October '06.

"The alternative video for 'Lloyd' which was directed by Victoria Bergsman, filmed by Blair Young and features animations and a starring role for Francois Marry. The single will also be available as a digital download."

Camera Obscura will be touring the UK and Europe in March and April. The tour will take them through the UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Spain, and Ireland. The band has a tour journal at cameraobscura-.blogspot.com.

This release will give the band new merch to sell during their UK and European tour, distributed exclusively through Elefant Records. Camera Obscura's North American label, Merge Records, has not announced a release of the Tears for Affairs single.

    about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
