Bloc Party to release A Weekend In The City

Posted by Flick in Uncategorized on 10 24th, 2006 | View Comments

Bloc PartyBloc Party will be releasing their second album on February 6, called A Weekend In The City. Kele Okereke shared with Billboard that their new album will be "a more grown up Bloc Party" as they have "learnt so much about the power of arrangements," and that the album will be "more intricate and layered." A Weekend In The City will be released on Vice Records (Atlantic), with the first single, The Prayer, hitting stations on January 29.

Also announced today, Bloc Party will be playing a twenty show tour, starting January 27 to coincide with the radio single release. Bloc Party will be prepping the US for their new release by touring across North America on a 28 gig tour with Panic! At The Disco, a tour that is promising to sell out many of the shows. The band will be resting in between tours during the festive months of December and January.

    about us

Puddlegum began in 1997 as one of the first online music magazines. It is managed by Flick, and has gained respect from many in the recording industry.

Over the years Puddlegum has accomplished quite a few things we are proud of:
Being mentioned by Thom Yorke during a BBC Radio interview (concerning our Tens Theory), and being written about in Rolling Stone. We have also made the front page of TUAW, Digg, and VH1’s Best Week Ever, and have been featured on USA Today, and Reuters.
