Beast of Eden: debuting with End Times

Beast of EdenThe Beasts of Eden will release their debut this summer, titled End Times, via Expansion Team Records. Immediately after the release the band will head on a 25 city US tour, with tours in Europe and Asia in the works. Before this, they will showcase at Canada's NXNE.

Their label calls End times, "a tight rope of punk rock intensity," and the band, "equal parts Beatles, Muse and Coldplay." The debut was self-produced in Chris V's recording studio, set up in his Brooklyn loft.

Chris V, vocalist for the band, said this about End Times:
“It’s a bit of a dark take on the world being crazy right now,” he explains, “but we’re not trying to get too literal with religious symbolism. We have a sense of humor about it, but there’s also a theme of relationships ending, which is where the song ‘End Times’ gets a lot of its meaning; there’s a duality to it.” (MySpace)

After 9/11 Chris V left Brooklyn to attend a recording school in Florida. Chris V met Chris B at a recording school in Florida, shortly after 9/11. When the school was complete, Chris V set up studio, while Chris B moved to Austin. The connection between the two was strong enough that Chris B eventually decided to move to Brooklyn to work with Chris B. The band was formed around this time, Jon Shaw joining on bass, and Carter McLean on drums. Beast of Eden was a twist on Jon Steinbeck's book East of Eden.
